24 Hour Billing Period Daily car rental rates run for a 24-hour period from the time the vehicle was rented. Returning the vehicle after the checkout time leads to an additional days charge (1-2 hour’s grace is usually granted.) Overdue Rentals A vehicle not returned on the date shown on the rental agreement is regarded as overdue for return and any waiver option taken or included in the rate will be negated in the event of an accident/theft occurring during the overdue period. Additional Drivers Should your rental vehicle be driven by a non-listed person and damage/theft be incurred, any waiver you may have taken or included in the rate, will be negated. Additional drivers fee is not an insurance cover. Never allow non-listed persons to drive your rental vehicle – not even hotel valet parking services. Drivers Licence The renter and/or authorized driver/s must be in possession of an unendorsed drivers licence to be produced on commencement of hire. Petrol Petrol is not included in the rate. All vehicles leave our depot with a full tank and renter pays for re-fuelling on termination. Speedometers All speedometers are sealed and if found tampered with or disconnected on termination of the rental, a minimum charge of R600 per day will be charged. One Way Rentals One-way rentals are permitted only if prior arrangements have been made with Alpha Car Hire and are subject to a drop-off charge. Cross Borders Clients must obtain written authorisation from Alpha Car hire should they wish to cross state borders. NB:No vehicle may cross any South Africa, Namibian, Botswana, Mozambique, Lesotho or Swaziland border without prior consent from Alpha Car Hire. A letter of authority must be obtained from the renting branch, this gives permission for the vehicle to cross the border. No vehicles are allowed into Angola, Zimbabwe, Malawi or Zambia. Cross border fees are applicable. Extension Of RentalsRentals may be extended at the discretion of Alpha Car Hire, provided that we are notified at least 24 hours before the agreed return date & payment for the extension has been made and cleared into our account. Failure to notify or pay us will result in all waivers taken and/or included in the rate being negated. Terms Of PaymentPayment is by Diners Club, Master or Visa card. A minimum deposit plus the estimated cost of the rental is required at the time of taking delivery of the vehicle. Final adjustments are made on termination. Deposit must be in CASH, EFT or a recognised CREDIT CARD. RatesRates are subject to change without notice. Condition Of RentalsAll rentals are subject to our standard terms and conditions, which may be changed without notice. Valet A cleaning valet service may be charged if the vehicle is returned in a dirty condition. |
